LUNA ERSAHIN
Luna Ersahin is one of the most distinctive voices in Danish music today, known for her uncompromising and compelling portrayal of what it means to be a Kurdish-Danish woman in Denmark
She is the front figure of the band AySay and has collaborated with artists such as Tobias Rahim (“Kurder i København”), Andreas Odbjerg, Smag På Dig Selv, and DR Girls’ Choir. With AySay, she has toured extensively across Denmark in recent years, captivating audiences including at Roskilde Festival. The band has received four Danish Music Awards and a Carl Prize for their two albums, and their third album, Mal, will be released on March 27, 2026.
Luna has mesmerized audiences on major stages both in Denmark and internationally - from Skagen to Samsø, Canada to Turkey, and Greenland to France - with a unique sonic universe that crosses cultural and musical boundaries.
Raised between two worlds - with roots in both the Nordic region and Southwest Asia - Luna brings a Turkish-Kurdish voice into Western music culture. In her songs, languages and identities merge; words become sound and texture, and the lyrics unfold in Danish, Turkish, and Kurdish. Luna Ersahin creates a musical universe where identity is both multifaceted and without borders.
